I was shocked to learn from the Society's home page today of the death of Brien Chitty.
Can anyone provide details and tell where one should send condolences?
I had the great pleasure of meeting Brien in London last year and will never forget his kind words of encouragement and advice as I researched Irving's final year at the Lyceum.
The Society may want to consider establishing some permanent memorial to him...perhaps an annual lecture or prize.
